It's that beautiful time of year when the leaves are changing color, the days are getting shorter and there is a crisp chill in the air. I don't know about you but this is my favorite time of year. There is something so comforting about sitting all curled up with a great book and a cup of hot cocoa and enjoying a nice warm house. But this could be a problem is you haven't changed your filter recently. Your furnace might be working extra hard to re-circulate your air through that dirty filter from months or even years ago. If you haven't used your furnace all summer you will still want to make sure that isn't all loaded with all the nasty stuff they can capture restricting airflow. The last thing you need and/or want to happen is to have your furnace fail you. This is the largest piece of equipment in your house and you have to take great care of it. Don't fail your furnace and it won't fail you start by checking the filter...it's first line of defense.
Before those chilly autumn nights are a regular and your heat is on 24/7 you will want to check to make sure your filter is clean and ready to go. Keep your family warm and your furnace happy this fall.
